Say g.o.o.d.b.y.e to wrinkles!
As a frequent traveler, more times than not I find my clothes wrinkled upon arrival. In the business professional world, this simply is not an option! Looking for an affordable solution? Let me introduce you to one of my favorite travel “must haves”: the portable steamer (also available here at Amazon)

Living out of a suitcase has its’ own set of challenges; Don’t let wrinkled, disheveled clothes be one of them!

There are several portable steamers on the market. I recommend doing your homework to see which style best fits your lifestyle! While doing my own research, I found options available in all shapes and sizes. However, after reading several reviews and receiving recommendations from friends, I decided on the Conair Garment Steamer with Turbo Steam. Due to the nature of my job, I was looking for a product that could be used regularly and last over time.

In addition to saving my wardrobe, having a steamer on hand has proven beneficial in other aspects of my life. For my current job, I am periodically required to work a booth at Audiology state shows. This steamer has been a lifesaver when using tablecloths at these events. Once I have laid the table cloth out, I am able to go over it quickly and efficiently with the steamer. The end result leaves my space looking polished and wrinkle free! These small details go a long way when making first impressions on potential customers!

Don’t have a steamer yet or forget yours at home? Don’t worry, I have a solution! If you ever find yourself in a pinch without a steamer follow these simple steps:

  1. Turn shower on as hot as it will get (make sure water is coming out of shower head)
  2. Put wrinkled clothing on hangers (most hotels will have extra hangers in the room)
  3. Hang clothing in shower is possible and out of range of getting wet (If not possible, back of bathroom door will work)
  4. Leave shower running, shut the bathroom door for about 10 minutes and let the shower steam work its’ magic!

VoilĂ ! The wrinkles should be gone and you are officially good to go!
